About five minutes to go here!
This is some real inspirational music.
Can someone poke Facebook and tell them they are five minutes late?
And Mark Zuckerberg's profile...
Mark wants us to share our experiences.
"There are all sorts of content that people really want to share..."
Today we are going to focus on Instagram.
A year after the Instagram acquisition, the team is triple the size.
CEO of Instagram Kevin Systrom is up now.
"Today we are going to talk about some really exciting stuff."
"When we joined Facebook, lots of people asked, 'What is Instagram?'"
"When I think about Instagram, I think about moments."
"Visual imagery is everything."
"We are forever on a quest to record a moment in time."
"Instagram is a way to stay connected as we are separated by time zones, boundaries... Instagram keeps us connected."
This is getting very deep. "It's a place for love."
"Instagram is no single thing, it is a collection of ideas. Our mission is to capture and share the world's moments."
16 billion photos have been shared on Instagram. "That's a lot of pictures of coffee," he jokes!
1 billion likes every day.
(You know what's cool? A BILLION likes.)
130 million people use Instagram.
What's next? What do we work on?
Today, I'd like to introduce video on Instagram.
Simplicity is one of the main things Instagram focused on in building the feature.
Videos have to be beautiful like Instagram photos.
"We have made Instagram better."
It works very similar to Vine. You can hold down a button to record, BUT you can also go back and take out a clip.
Kevin is recapping: available for iOS and Android, 15 seconds of video, 13 filters, cover frame and more
And that's it. Very quick.
Thanks for tuning in guys!
