That's tricky though, Mitch, because FSU wouldn't be favored against Ohio State, Baylor or TCU.
Yes, but the Noles are undefeated. The ultimate wild card.
This is an unsolvable Rubik's cube.
Oh no question, Mitch. They are in and they deserve to be. But if it was just up to the Vegas wise guys, they wouldn't be one of the four best.
Dabo, it's sort of incredible to think about actually.
BCS would probably be Alabama and FSU and Eugene would explode.
I think the committee would like to leave out Florida State. The way it's operated all year, if the No. 4 weren't so magical in the rankings and emotion (the knowledge that you're leaving out the team that is ranked No. 5), FSU would end up No. 5 or No. 6 after this week. But it just isn't going to happen like that.
Do you mean Alabama and FSU? Because, yes, Eugene would most definitely explode in that case.
Jay, nothing would be easy about leaving out an undefeated Power 5 team.
Yes, Brett -- sorry about that, just edited it.
That will certainly be a heated discussion in the offseason El Guapo.
Guapo -- it would have to. And it would have to make Bob Bowlsby think twice about not sticking to the "One True Champion" mantra.
If Urban goes for two after a touchdown in the last three minutes up 58-0, that would end the day on a perfect note.
Road games are not fair? We're hearing it all tonight.
Even LeBron is chiming in!
OK Mitch/David/Dan, we've heard all of the arguments from the fans. As we wrap up tonight's chat, who do you think WILL be the top 4 tomorrow?
I don't envy the committee. They're going to skewered no matter what happens. Some of this, they've done to themselves. Mainly, though, it's just bad luck for them and good luck for the rest of us that this finish has been so interesting. I think the top four will be Bama, Oregon, TCU and FSU. No change from this week.
I remain firm in Oregon-Alabama-Florida State-TCU, Brett. The undefeated defending champs won't be left out, and the Frogs only improved an excellent resume today that the committee already liked heading into this weekend.
I'm sticking with my four, too. Oregon, Bama, FSU and Baylor. Like I said earlier though, the only people I'll disagree with are the ones who think there is one right answer.
OK folks, that'll do it for tonight's chat. And what a chat it was. You guys were great and the debate will continue to rage on. Remember, we'll be chatting again at noon ET tomorrow and oh man is it going to be fun. See ya then!
