France are living so dangerously. Very odd, given the start they made
Hugo Lloris comes for the corner and gets nowhere near it, but Varana rises highest to head away.
Jeff, I resisted yet another joke!
Possibly, Blytus, but then again it was Neuer's assertiveness that saved Germany against Algeria
Mathieu Valbuena looks to scamper onto a through ball, but there he is! Manuel Neuer races out to collect it.
wwf, Germany are in control, but their defence is quite open and France certainly have the talent to crack it.
There was me raving about the pace and power of the French midfield, but they've looked very timid today, almost intimidated by their opponents. This is not what we saw against Nigeria.
Thomas Muller is the latest Germany forward to go down in the box, falling under slight contact from Debuchy. Nothing given by the referee.
Great save Neuer! And AGAIN that high German line gets them into trouble
A much better ball across the box from Griezmann, a decent effort for Valbuena, Neuer reacts brilliantly and the Germans live to fight another day
The ball somehow stays out as Neuer makes a great stop from Valbuena's close-range volley, and Benzema's rebound volley is cleared over.
But again, the German back line was pushed too far up, acres of space behind them and it only took one ball to release the French. They've got to be sharper if they're going to push up like that.
Blytzus, I think you're right. They were arrogant against Algeria, they didn't seem to think they posed any threat on the break at all
France can't make the resulting corners count... but they're looking much better now as Paul Pogba steals the ball and launches a counter, but they waste it on the left.
